The Detroit Red Wings started and finished strong. Johan Franzen scored twice, and Henrik Zetterberg had a goal and two assists in Detroit’s 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night. Tomas Holmstrom added a goal and an assist, and Drew Miller also scored, and Jimmy Howard made 21 saves for Detroit, ninth in the Western Conference — a point behind Nashville and Calgary.
