Trade leaves Capitals with 3 goalies (AP)

The Washington Capitals demonstrated three goaltenders do not fit in front of two nets. Newly acquired Cristobal Huet presided at one end of the rink Thursday during his first practice with the team. Boulerice finally returns to Philly’s lineup

In reality, Jesse Boulerice’s 25-game suspension this season was really 58 games. That’s how many games the Philadelphia Flyers played before his suspension was fulfilled. Season-long injuries and subsequent suspensions to other Flyers forced the club to pick and choose when Boulerice’s name could appear on the active roster so that he could technically serve one game at a time.

"I didn’t know if it was going to take all year or what," the 29-year-old winger said this week. "Given the circumstances, a lot of injuries, and other suspensions, they could not get me in games. It took a while, but I am glad it’s over."

Boulerice was suspended Oct. 11 for cross-checking Vancouver’s Ryan Kesler about the neck during an 8-2 rout over the Canucks the night before.
