Kings add ex-Bruins coach Lewis to staff (AP)

Avs sign D Clark to 2-year extension (AP)

The Colorado Avalanche signed defenseman Brett Clark to a two-year contract extension through the 2009-10 season. Ducks LW Kunitz gets 4-year, $14.9M deal (AP)

The Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks have signed Chris Kunitz to a four-year, $14.9 million contract extension, putting the left wing under contract through the 2011-12 season. Sharks sign Michalek to 6-year extension (AP)

3rd man gets probation for gambling ring (AP)

The last of three men who ran an illegal sports gambling ring was sentenced to two-years’ probation Friday. Panthers, Weiss agree to 6-yr. extension (AP)

The Florida Panthers agreed to a six-year contract extension with center Stephen Weiss on Thursday. Weiss, 24, recorded 20 goals and 28 assists this past season. Trevor Linden re-signed with the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $600,000.
